Tomorrow Learning Card Support Limit Increased to 5 Million Won
Personal Contribution Rate Reduced from Up to 55% to 20%
Caregiver and Nursing Assistant Certification Costs Also Lowered
With Gwangsan District in Gwangju designated as a Proactive Employment Crisis Response Area, the financial burden of vocational training for job seekers and current employees has been significantly reduced.
According to Gwangsan District on October 18, the support limit for those issued with the Tomorrow Learning Card has been raised from 3 million won to 5 million won, and the personal contribution rate has been lowered from 15-55% to 0-20%.
As a result, most vocational training courses, such as cooking, computer science, accounting, and beauty, can now be taken without any personal expense, and the cost of obtaining caregiver and nursing assistant certifications has also been greatly reduced.
The Tomorrow Learning Card is a system that provides partial support for vocational training expenses to citizens seeking employment. Anyone can receive the card except for current public officials, teachers, and workers earning an average monthly income of 3 million won or more.
Previously, in August, the government designated Gwangsan District as a Proactive Employment Crisis Response Area, taking into account situations such as the Daewoo Winia management crisis and the fire at the Kumho Tire Gwangju plant.
