On this day, Mayor Won Kangsoo received a report on the progress and issues of the Buron Industrial Complex construction and conducted an on-site inspection. At the site, Mayor Won Kangsoo requested, "Please pay close attention to safety management to prevent any accidents within the industrial complex during the Chuseok holiday period."
The Buron Industrial Complex, which began construction in April last year, is being promoted by Wonju Buron General Industrial Complex Co., Ltd., a special purpose company (SPC), and is being implemented by Korea Asset In Trust Co., Ltd. The current construction progress rate is 28%, and the sales rate is 70%. The complex is scheduled for completion in August 2028.
Currently, the only facility that has begun construction within Buron Industrial Complex is the Future Aviation Technology Center. However, on the 28th of this month, construction will begin on the Future Vehicle Electronic Parts Reliability Verification Center, and on the 19th of next month, construction will also commence on the Semiconductor Consumables Demonstration Center.

Additionally, next year, the design of the Future Clean Industry Challenge Center will begin, laying the foundation for a semiconductor testbed. Alongside this, the Buron Interchange (IC) construction, which will be established near Buron Industrial Complex, will complete its detailed design by the end of this year and begin construction in the second half of next year.
