Hana Bank announced on October 1 that, in celebration of the Chuseok holiday, it participated in the '2025 Chuseok Sharing Event with the Financial Sector and the Salvation Army' together with the Financial Supervisory Service, to support small business owners in traditional markets and vulnerable groups in the local community who are struggling due to prolonged consumption contraction and economic downturn.
This '2025 Chuseok Sharing Event with the Financial Sector and the Salvation Army' was organized with sponsorship funds jointly raised by the Financial Supervisory Service, Hana Bank, and other financial institutions. The event aims to directly purchase holiday goods from traditional markets to boost the sales of small business owners, and to practice inclusive sharing by providing living support to marginalized neighbors so they can enjoy a warm Chuseok holiday.
On the morning of October 1, Lee Chanjin, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, and Lee Hoseong, CEO of Hana Bank, visited 'Moksarang Market' in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, and delivered food and daily necessities such as rice, agricultural and marine products, dried goods, and meat to social welfare organizations and neighbors in need. Additionally, to further support and revitalize small business owners' sales, they decided to indirectly support them by purchasing 'Onnuri Gift Certificates,' which can be used at traditional markets.
On September 27, over 100 employees and their families from Hana Financial Group voluntarily participated in the 'Chuseok Love Songpyeon Sharing Volunteer Activity,' delivering Songpyeon rice cakes carefully prepared with care, along with happiness boxes containing daily necessities and food, to elderly members of vulnerable groups and low-income multicultural families in the local community, thus helping to spread the culture of sharing.
Meanwhile, Hana Bank is taking the lead in promoting mutual growth and inclusive values through various support programs for small business owners, including business environment improvement projects, business recovery support, customized consulting, and guarantee fee support for safe accounts for small business owners.
