According to the city on September 30, the special traffic guidance operations will be carried out for four days from October 3 to 6, when an increase in visitors is expected to cause traffic congestion during the Chuseok holiday period.

The main area of operation will be the section around the public market, from the Market Intersection to the Office of Education Intersection, where traffic congestion is expected to be most severe. A joint task force of 48 people will be organized, consisting of the traffic department, citizen police, model drivers' association, and voluntary crime prevention unit. This team will focus on maintaining traffic order and providing parking guidance in congested and bottlenecked areas.

The city will operate enforcement vehicles to respond swiftly to traffic congestion complaints on-site, minimizing inconvenience for citizens. In addition, traffic facilities such as rubber cones will be installed in advance at key locations where illegal parking is expected, such as street corners, to fundamentally prevent illegal parking. These proactive measures have been put in place to address key issues anticipated during the holiday period.

Furthermore, to facilitate parking for market visitors during the holiday, the city will open public paid parking lots free of charge for seven days from October 3 to 9. This is expected to help revitalize the traditional market and alleviate parking shortages.

A city official stated, "Through this special Chuseok holiday traffic plan, we will do our utmost to minimize traffic congestion and ensure smooth flow so that citizens and returning visitors can enjoy a safe and comfortable holiday. We also ask all citizens to demonstrate mature civic awareness and actively cooperate with traffic control and guidance."
