Government24 and Public MyData Resume Normal Operations
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on September 29 that the policy finance system for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners, which had experienced some disruptions due to the fire at the National Information Resources Service in Daejeon, has now mostly returned to normal.
Officials from the fire department, police, and the National Forensic Service are moving to the scene of the fire at the National Information Resources Service in Yuseong District, Daejeon for a joint investigation.
According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, policy funds for SMEs and small business owners operated by four institutions-the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, the Small Enterprise and Market Service, the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and the Korea Federation of Credit Guarantee Foundations-are now being provided as usual.
Policy funds supplied by the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency and the Small Enterprise and Market Service are being disbursed smoothly, as the automatic data collection function through Government24 and Public MyData resumed normal operation from the afternoon of the same day. Guarantee application and review services by the Korea Technology Finance Corporation are also operating normally.
Face-to-face guarantee services provided by the 17 regional credit guarantee foundations nationwide are currently operating as normal, while non-face-to-face guarantee services are being restored sequentially.
An official from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups stated, "We will continue to monitor the supply of policy finance at the field level for SMEs and small business owners by establishing and operating emergency response systems with the four policy finance institutions," adding, "If necessary, we will promptly review and implement response measures."
