KOSHA Gyeongnam Eastern Branch Conducts Chuseok Safety Inspections and Sharing Activities at Social Welfare Facilities

The Gyeongnam Eastern Branch of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (headed by Sim Yeonseop) conducted safety inspections and sharing activities at local social welfare facilities on September 29 in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.

This inspection was carried out as a preventive measure against safety accidents such as fires, explosions, and electric shocks, and was promoted as part of a social contribution initiative aimed at fostering mutual growth within the local community.

The agency visited welfare facilities in Yangsan City to check for abnormalities in electrical equipment, the operational status of fire safety systems, and the availability of emergency evacuation routes. Facility managers were also provided with guidance on how to improve hazardous and dangerous factors, as well as instructions for conducting voluntary inspections.

After the inspection, donations were delivered to each facility, and time was spent communicating with facility users to share the warmth of the holiday season.

Sim Yeonseop, head of the branch, stated, "I hope this activity will help create a safe and healthy environment at welfare facilities," adding, "We will continue our efforts and attention so that everyone can enjoy a safe and warm holiday."
