Korea Teachers' Pension Accelerates Data-Driven Administrative Innovation..."Enhancing Future Competitiveness"

Guidelines to Be Established in Collaboration with Credit Rating Agency

The Korea Teachers' Pension (Sahakyeongeum) announced on September 29 that it will establish data-related guidelines in collaboration with a credit rating agency as part of its data-driven administrative innovation to enhance institutional credibility and secure external competitiveness.

Recently, Sahakyeongeum confirmed through joint research with a credit rating agency that non-financial information such as teachers' contribution payment records and payment periods can be positively utilized in credit evaluations. The organization has begun designing a system to institutionalize this and plans to implement it in stages going forward.

Previously, Sahakyeongeum completed the development of a real-time public MyData linkage for utilizing contribution payment information and newly established internal management guidelines for promoting data-driven administration, thereby reorganizing its data collection, analysis, and utilization framework. Through these efforts, the organization aims to ensure objectivity and reliability in administrative decision-making while spreading a data utilization culture throughout the organization.

Song Hajung, President of Sahakyeongeum, stated, "The use and improvement of data-driven work is one of the core factors that will determine the future competitiveness of the organization," adding, "The positive use of diligent payment record information in credit scoring and the establishment of internal guidelines will serve as an opportunity to build trust among both current teachers and pension recipients."
