Eunpyeong District in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mikyung) announced on the 29th that it has been selected as an "Outstanding Institution for Proactive Administration Performance in the First Half of 2025," organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. In the nationwide evaluation of local governments, Eunpyeong District was ranked among the outstanding institutions, alongside one metropolitan city, two cities, two counties, and two districts.

Eunpyeong District received high marks for diversifying its proactive administration outreach, revitalizing the operation of the Proactive Administration Committee to enhance expertise, and implementing field-oriented administration by expanding the collection of feedback from both the public and private sectors. The district was also recognized for providing creative administrative services that significantly improved residents' convenience, thanks to the discovery and sharing of best practices to spread successful outcomes.
Building on this achievement, Eunpyeong District plans to further accelerate its proactive administration efforts in the second half of the year. The district aims to establish a culture of proactive administration that resonates with both staff and residents by strengthening policy responsiveness through resident satisfaction surveys, continuously identifying and sharing best practices, and producing its own promotional videos on proactive administration.
Kim Mikyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District, stated, "This award is the result of all staff members putting proactive administration into practice," and added, "We will continue to pursue administration that residents can truly feel, working to make Eunpyeong District a trusted community."
