On September 28, TS announced that, together with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the National Police Agency, and Korea Expressway Corporation, it will encourage safe driving among drivers and travelers at major transportation hubs nationwide from September 29 to October 2. During the four-day campaign, the organization will promote key safety rules such as wearing seat belts in all seats and prohibiting drowsy driving. It will also encourage eco-friendly driving, including eradicating the use of illegal diesel exhaust fluid, and distribute safety supplies.

This campaign will take place in a relay format at major locations across the country, including busy spots such as Gimhae Airport, Busan Bujeon and Gupo Markets, Uijeongbu Jeil Market, and Dongdaegu Station Plaza. In particular, on October 2, the day before the holiday, intensive activities will be held at major rest areas nationwide, such as Seoul Express Bus Terminal, Yeoju, and Manghyang. At Manghyang Rest Area (toward Busan), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Environment will jointly conduct the "Traffic Safety + Eco-Friendly Driving Joint Campaign."

During the Chuseok holiday, the risk of drowsy driving accidents increases due to long-distance travel, making regular ventilation and sufficient rest at rest areas essential.

Jung Yongshik, President of TS, said, "We expect a significant increase in vehicles on the roads for homecoming and return trips during the long holiday. Through this campaign, we hope all citizens will be reminded of the importance of traffic safety rules and enjoy a safe and happy Chuseok."

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and TS plan to once again emphasize the importance of wearing seat belts through an episode of JTBC's "Han Moonchul's Black Box Review" scheduled to air on October 8.
