Generously Spent 12.8 Million Won After Presidential Cup Win as Well
Former baseball player Lee Daeho reportedly paid nearly 13 million won for a team dinner to celebrate the victory of the Gyeongnam High School baseball team, his alma mater, at the Bonghwangdaegi National High School Baseball Championship.
On September 28, a video titled "I treated them again. My juniors are really admirable" was uploaded to Lee Daeho's YouTube channel. In the video, Lee Daeho hosted a team dinner as promised after his juniors from Gyeongnam High School won the 53rd Bonghwangdaegi National High School Baseball Championship on August 31.
This time, Lee Daeho chose a snow crab restaurant for the celebration. He explained, "The kids mentioned an all-you-can-eat place, but it didn't feel right for me to treat them to that. I come here three or four times a year, but I really wanted to bring them this time. We'll enjoy the meal, congratulate the kids, pay, and then I'll head home." After the juniors finished eating, Lee Daeho went to the register to pay and was surprised to see the receipt showing 12.94 million won.

Lee Daeho commented, "Did we have more people than last time? Maybe some of the fathers joined us?" He added, "At least we got a 132,000 won discount on drinks," and coolly completed the payment. He went on to make another promise, saying, "There's another tournament next year. If you win your first championship, I'll treat you to pork belly. If you win two titles, I'll buy you beef. If you win three, I'll take you out for snow crab."

Last month, Lee Daeho also took his juniors to a high-end Korean beef restaurant to celebrate their victory at the Presidential Cup, treating around 60 members of the baseball team to 230 servings of beef. At that time, he paid 12.78 million won in a single payment with his personal card, drawing significant attention. When asked, "Didn't your wife scold you for spending 12 to 13 million won on the last team dinner?" Lee Daeho replied, "My wife actually told me to go there. She didn't scold me."
