The Seoul International Spirits & Wine Expo, where a wide variety of alcoholic beverages from around the world gather in one place, is an important event for checking the latest trends in the global liquor industry and networking with diverse domestic and international brands. For traditional liquor producers, it serves as a valuable opportunity to promote their product quality to a broader audience and to communicate directly with buyers.
Hongcheon County selected its representative participants for the expo by publicly recruiting and accepting applications from producers in July, then conducting a comprehensive evaluation based on traditional liquor production records and product assessments.
The traditional liquors showcased at the event include: ▲ 33ju (produced by 33ga), which captivates enthusiasts with its spicy flavor enhanced by the addition of wild ginseng; ▲ Kkachi Dolbaeju (produced by Bambachi Farm), made from organic native wild pears with a raw ingredient content of over 40 percent; ▲ Hongcheongang Soju (produced by Basenaechon), crafted using a 17-step traditional method without any chemical additives; and ▲ Midamju (produced by Midam), renowned for its deep flavor achieved by being brewed three times by hand and aged in traditional earthenware jars.

Shin Youngjae, Mayor of Hongcheon County, stated, "Hongcheon’s traditional liquors are a valuable resource that encapsulate the region’s history and culture," adding, "I hope this expo will help Hongcheon’s traditional liquors gain greater recognition and appreciation in both domestic and international liquor markets."
