The Women's Committee of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Party of the Democratic Party of Korea held a workshop to strengthen the capacity of female party members and pledged to expand political participation and leadership.

The event, held on the 26th at the Vista Hall of the Gloria Wedding Group in Mareuk-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, was themed "Women's Leadership and Dignified Communication in the AI Era." Over 300 female party members attended to share their roles and challenges in the changing political landscape.

On this day, Hwang Kyunga, Chairwoman of the Women's Committee, stated, "I hope this will be a meaningful occasion to move toward new challenges. Your active participation and valuable opinions are the strength of the Democratic Party and the hope of our society. The Women's Committee will be with you at the forefront."

Jung Jinwook, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (Gwangju Dongnam-gap), said, "Gwangju is a sacred place of democracy and a city of human rights and peace. Its spirit lies in justice and sharing. It was the women of Gwangju who embodied justice in the face of injustice and solidarity through sharing rice balls. That broad embrace created peace, and going forward, women's leadership will continue to drive change in Gwangju."

Yang Bunam, Chairperson of the Gwangju City Party, delivered a congratulatory message via video, saying, "Female party members play a more important role than ever as the driving force behind change in the party and the local community, and as leaders of the future. As AI rapidly influences all aspects of daily life today, I encourage you to strengthen your capabilities and achieve even greater growth."
