Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province announced on the 26th that it had conducted job training for over 200 employees in civil engineering, architecture, and other facility-related departments on the 25th at the city hall's main conference room.

The training was organized to share major policies and strategies such as the city's rise as a core city in the South Coast Belt, its urban development direction, its leap toward becoming an ecological healing city, and urban acupuncture. It also aimed to strengthen the professional expertise of facility-related public officials.

In particular, the training emphasized the importance of robust construction for facility-related public officials who install and manage social infrastructure closely connected to citizens' daily lives, such as roads and parks. Practical education was also provided to help create a high-quality residential environment.

Additionally, hands-on training on accounting and contract work was provided for junior-level public officials in grades 8 and 9, enhancing their understanding of administrative practices.

Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu stated, "An ecological healing city is a direction for recreating the city's future. The role of facility-related departments is extremely important in achieving this." He added, "The city will continue to support the improvement of practical capabilities for facility-related public officials through ongoing small-scale job training and other initiatives."
