Inspection of Disaster Response System with Relevant Agencies
Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Byungsoo) conducted a joint communication drill involving relevant agencies using the disaster safety communication network (PS-LTE) on the 25th at various agency situation rooms in preparation for the Chuseok holiday.

The disaster safety communication network (PS-LTE) is a dedicated national disaster safety communication system that ensures stable communication even when existing wired and wireless networks are down, enabling rapid information sharing and response between field teams and command centers.
This drill was joined by five organizations-Gimpo City Hall, Gimpo Fire Station, Gimpo Police Station, Korea Electric Power Corporation Gimpo Branch, and Gimpo Goldline SRS Co., Ltd.-to check the prompt dissemination of information and close cooperation among agencies during various disaster situations. Mayor Kim Byungsoo personally participated in the drill, leading realistic communication training by sequentially calling each agency and transmitting messages using the disaster safety communication network device.
Mayor Kim Byungsoo stated, "In recent disaster situations such as the wildfires in North Gyeongsang Province and the Osong underpass accident, the quick dissemination of information determined the success or failure of the response. As the Chuseok holiday and autumn events approach-a period with a high likelihood of unexpected disasters-I urge all relevant agencies to work closely together and do their utmost to ensure the safety of our citizens."
