The Friendship Scholarship Foundation in Changwon, Gyeongnam, awarded scholarships to a total of 13 students, including 3 from Yangdeok Middle School, 5 from Naeseo Middle School, and 5 from Changwon Technical High School.
This decision was made after the foundation conducted its own review process in response to requests for support from students facing financial difficulties.
Choi Heungyeol, president of the foundation, said, "I hope this will be of some help to students who are doing their best in their studies while working part-time after school," and added, "Let us continue to spread positive influence together with the warm hearts of all our members," calling for active participation from citizens.
Kim Junghan, a member who joined the foundation on the 25th and also serves as the chairman of the Changwon City Residents' Autonomy Committee, expressed his gratitude to President Choi Heungyeol and the members, saying he was glad to join such a wonderful scholarship foundation in the local community.
Meanwhile, the Friendship Scholarship Foundation plans to actively participate in promotion and revitalization efforts and is also committed to recruiting new members.
