Over 160 Pieces by Local Designers and University Students Showcased on Stage
The Daejeon Fashion Collection, an annual event held to discover new designers in the Daejeon region and expand the base of fashion culture, was held successfully.
On the evening of September 25, Daejeon City hosted the "2025 Daejeon Fashion Collection" at the circular plaza of Hanbat Arboretum, showcasing more than 160 pieces created through collaborations between local designers and university students.
Now in its 14th year, the Daejeon Fashion Collection was held under the theme "Daejeon Fashion, The Beginning of Imagination." A total of 43 professional models graced the runway, lighting up the outdoor stage on an autumn night with a spectacular show.
More than 900 people, including Daejeon Mayor Lee Jangwoo, Daejeon City Council Chairman Cho Wonhui, fashion industry representatives, and citizens, attended the event and enjoyed the fashion festival together.
Through this fashion collection, Daejeon City widely promoted the creativity and competitiveness of the local fashion industry, while also creating opportunities for young designers and local brands to grow together.
The fact that more than 160 pieces, created through the collaboration of over 80 local designers and university students, were showcased on stage is significant, as it strengthens the connection between fashion education and the industry, and can lead to the discovery of new talent and the creation of jobs.
Additionally, by holding the event at Hanbat Arboretum, a popular city landmark on an autumn night, citizens were given the opportunity to enjoy fashion culture, while external visitors were provided with a chance to experience the city's brand and tourism resources, thereby enhancing promotional effects.
Daejeon Mayor Lee Jangwoo said, "Please join us in enjoying the sense and style of Daejeon at Hanbat Arboretum on an autumn night, and support the new challenges of local brands and young designers."
