According to local media outlets such as The Thaiger on September 22 (local time), the organizing committee of the "2026 Miss Grand Prachuap Khiri Khan" beauty pageant in Thailand announced that it would revoke the title of Supanee Baby Noinontong, 27, who had won the competition. The committee explained, "We are stripping her of her title after confirming that she engaged in activities that do not align with the spirit and principles that participants are required to uphold."

On September 20, Noinontong won the pageant and was selected to represent her province, earning the right to compete against representatives from Thailand's other 76 provinces. However, controversy erupted as a sensitive video featuring her spread rapidly online.

The video reportedly showed Noinontong dancing in revealing clothing. Local media also reported that the footage included provocative scenes of her using adult devices, smoking an electronic cigarette, and applying lipstick to various parts of her body.

As the controversy grew, Noinontong admitted that she had filmed nude videos and photos in the past. Through her Facebook page, she apologized to the pageant organizers and her supporters, explaining that she had no other choice but to do so in order to support her bedridden mother at the time. She also shared that, having lost both parents, she endured difficult times to reach this point on her own and appealed for another chance to work in the entertainment industry.

Noinontong emphasized that the videos were used without her consent by illegal gambling websites and that she had no connection to those companies. She also announced her intention to file a police complaint against the sites in question.

However, the organizing committee did not accept her explanation. The committee apologized to the audience and sponsors, stressing that it would strengthen its screening and management processes in order to uphold the honor and values of the beauty pageant.

Online reactions to the incident have been mixed. Some expressed sympathy for her, while others criticized her for tarnishing the reputation of her province and the pageant. Still others criticized the organizers for failing to properly vet the contestants.
