LG Uplus Launches AI Subscription Promotion: Three-Month Free Trial of "Liner + Plang"

LG Uplus has launched the "Yudok Pick AI" promotion, offering two artificial intelligence (AI) services for free each month. The first combination includes "Liner" and "Plang," and customers who apply by October 31 can use them for three months without any subscription fees.

"Yudok Pick AI" is an AI subscription service introduced in July, allowing customers to choose and use two out of ten available AI services each month. For this event, LG Uplus is offering a carefully selected combination of two services to the first 20,000 applicants for free. Customers can enjoy a free trial for the first two months and will receive a notification before billing in the third month, making it easy to cancel if they wish. The regular monthly fee is 19,800 won, but during this event, the payment amount is set to zero.

"Liner," included in this promotion, is an AI search service based on reliable sources, used by more than 12 million people in over 220 countries worldwide. Notably, it achieved a score of 95.3 on the SimpleQA Benchmark, a factual accuracy verification metric used by OpenAI, ranking among the highest in the world. Liner is the only AI service to score above 90. "Plang," also provided, is a movie-based native English conversation service that supports free-talking and pronunciation correction, enabling both learning and practical use.

LG Uplus plans to continue offering different combinations of two free AI services each month, selected from ten options: Liner, Felo, Woosu AI, Canva, Kinemaster, Plang, Comento, Learnny, Science Donga AiR, and Math King.

Lee Hyunseung, Executive Director of Subscription/Omni Platform at LG Uplus, said, "While demand for AI utilization is increasing, we hope this trial opportunity allows customers who have been concerned about subscription fees to enjoy a differentiated AI experience regardless of their telecom provider."

Meanwhile, customers who subscribe to "Yudok Pick AI" will also receive a 50% discount on the subscription fee until the end of the year. Until December 31, users can choose two AI services for 9,900 won per month. One service must be fixed from "Liner, Felo, Woosu AI, or Canva," while the other can be changed monthly from "Kinemaster, Plang, Comento, Learnny, or Science Donga AiR."
