Enhanced Traffic and Safety Management, Venue Improvements for a Safe and Pleasant Festival Environment

Pohang City will host the 2025 Pohang Global Expo on September 27-28, 2025, in the area around Yeongildae Rose Garden.

This expo, being prepared as a major international event that brings together global cultural exchange, hands-on global experiences, world cultural exhibitions, and a variety of food and attractions, is expected to serve as a platform for cultural exchange that connects Pohang with the world beyond the local region. It will also provide an opportunity for Pohang to establish itself as a "city on the global stage."

The "Pohang Global Expo," being held for the first time this year, will feature a diverse range of programs starting with the opening ceremony, including a global competition, world cultural performance shows, traditional games from around the world, and citizen participation programs.

In particular, the global cultural experience zone will offer a variety of programs such as trying on traditional clothing and makeup from around the world, hands-on experiences with K-traditional games and global traditional games. In addition, global food trucks and agricultural product sales booths will be set up to provide a wide array of food and entertainment.

At the end of the event, broadcaster Park Myungsoo (DJ G-Park) will host a DJ party to mark the grand finale of the festival.

In preparation for the event, the city held a final briefing session on September 22, 2025, at the City Hall Dream Start Room, where detailed preparations such as traffic measures, safety management, and on-site operation staff were reviewed.

We will make every effort in the final stages of preparation to ensure a safe and successful event, so that citizens and foreigners alike can come together and enjoy this global cultural festival."
