The current law defines women who have never engaged in economic activity or have stopped working due to pregnancy, childbirth, or childcare as having "career interruptions." There have been repeated criticisms that this terminology causes social stigma.
In addition, amendments to laws on the prevention of stalking and protection of victims also passed the subcommittee as committee alternatives on the same day. These amendments include provisions to support victims whose information has been leaked due to online stalking and other forms of stalking so they can have their information deleted, require perpetrators to bear the cost of such deletion, and establish grounds for supporting victims of dating violence.
