Governor Park Hyunkook Promises Immediate Responses and Follow-Up Actions to Residents' Suggestions
Strengthening Communication-Oriented Administration
Bonghwa County in North Gyeongsang Province has made communication with residents its top priority and has begun visiting local communities in person.
On September 17, the county held the 'Open County Office on the Go' at eight locations in Chunyang-myeon, hosting a roundtable discussion with residents.
This event was organized as a channel for communication to actively reflect local residents' opinions in county administration and to promptly resolve inconveniences in daily life.
County Governor Park Hyunkook personally visited the villages to listen to residents' suggestions, provided explanations on key county issues, and either gave immediate answers or promised follow-up actions. Residents participated enthusiastically, offering a variety of opinions on improving the living environment and strategies for regional development.
Han Manhee, head of Chunyang-myeon, stated, "The Open County Office on the Go is establishing itself as a platform for communication that realizes resident-centered administration," adding, "We expect it will have a positive impact on all aspects of residents' lives."
Governor Park Hyunkook emphasized, "Enhancing trust and participation through on-site communication with residents is the starting point for the county's development," and added, "We will continue to expand the field-oriented Open County Office moving forward."
This 'Open County Office on the Go' is significant because it goes beyond simply handling civil complaints; it provides an opportunity for residents and the administration to engage in direct dialogue and jointly shape the direction of county policies. Attention is focused on whether Bonghwa County's approach of institutionalizing resident participation and finding solutions on the ground will serve as a new driving force for regional development.
