First Meeting in Three Months Since Public Falling-Out at Kirk Memorial
Daily Mail Enlists Expert to Analyze Their Conversation
As President Donald Trump of the United States and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who have experienced a public falling-out, were seen having a conversation together at an official event for the first time in three months, there is growing interest in the content of their discussion.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the British Daily Mail reported on the 21st (local time) that it enlisted a lip-reading expert to analyze the conversation between President Trump and Musk. The expert's analysis suggests that the two engaged in a rather amicable exchange.
On this day, President Trump and Musk attended the memorial service for American right-wing youth activist Charlie Kirk, held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona.
The two were seated side by side in the presidential box, which is equipped with bulletproof glass. After shaking hands, they began to converse. President Trump leaned in and said something to Musk, who nodded several times during the exchange.
According to lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling, President Trump turned toward Musk as he sat down and greeted him by asking, "How are you doing?"
President Trump then said to Musk, "So, Elon, I heard you wanted to talk," to which Musk simply shrugged in response.
Afterward, Dana White, president of the UFC, joined their conversation, and President Trump suggested to Musk, "Let's try to get things back on track and return to normal."
Musk nodded in agreement, and President Trump then firmly grasped Musk's hand with both of his own and said, "I've missed you."
The content of their conversation, as analyzed by the lip-reading expert, stands in stark contrast to the previous conflict between the two. Last year, during the U.S. presidential election, Musk publicly supported President Trump, who was the Republican candidate, and served as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the Trump administration, acting as one of Trump's closest confidants.
However, after stepping down as head of the Department of Government Efficiency in May, Musk began criticizing President Trump's policies on social media, and President Trump responded in kind, resulting in intense friction between the two.
Musk especially provoked President Trump by floating the idea of founding a new political party, and President Trump escalated the conflict by mentioning the possible cancellation of government contracts held by Musk's companies. As a result, tensions between the two reached their peak.
