Korean Air announced on the 22nd that, ahead of the launch of the integrated airline, it will begin open recruitment for new employees, professionals, and new cabin crew members in order to attract talent with expertise and outstanding capabilities in various fields.
Recruitment for new employees is divided into general positions and technical positions (aviation technology and aerospace). For technical positions, applicants can choose their preferred work location between the Gyeongin region and Busan, depending on the field. Anyone who has already graduated in a relevant major or is scheduled to graduate by February 2026, holds a language proficiency score above the required standard, and has no disqualifications for overseas travel is eligible to apply.
Both new and experienced candidates can apply for professional positions. The recruitment areas include: ▲General positions (passenger revenue management, materials, labor, in-flight services), ▲IT (IT development, cloud, data, network), and ▲Facility management. Applicants must have graduated in a relevant major or be scheduled to graduate by February 2026, possess a language proficiency score above the required standard, meet the qualifications for the relevant field, and have no disqualifications for overseas travel. Even those without a relevant major can apply as experienced candidates if they have at least two years of work experience in the field.
Korean Air is also recruiting new cabin crew members who will be responsible for in-flight safety and service. Applicants must be scheduled to graduate by August 2026 or have already graduated. They must meet the required language proficiency standards and have corrected vision of at least 1.0.
After document screening, interviews, and health examinations, successful candidates are expected to join the company around January next year. The application deadline for new cabin crew members is 6:00 p.m. on the 13th of next month. For new employees and professionals, the deadline is 4:00 p.m. on the 14th of next month. Detailed schedules for each stage after the document screening will be individually notified at a later date.
A Korean Air representative stated, "Korean Air is currently at a very important juncture as we prepare for the launch of the integrated airline and move toward a new future," adding, "We hope to see active applications from talented individuals who can lead our leap forward as a truly global airline, beyond just being Korea's flagship carrier."
