Youth Week Continues Until the 27th
Changwon Special City held the 2025 Changwon Youth Week "Youth Day Commemoration Ceremony" at Hansan Hall in the Jinhae Yi Sunshin Leadership International Center.
The event, held on September 19, marked Youth Day (September 20) and was organized to announce the start of Youth Week with young people and to foster their sense of pride.
More than 100 people, including Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, local youth, citizens, and guests, attended the event to cheer on the passion and challenges of young people together.
The ceremony began with a pre-event performance by the local youth band "Gomchi," followed by the Youth Week opening declaration, the awarding of commendations to outstanding youth, congratulatory remarks and speeches, and commemorative performances and events for Youth Day.
In the second part, titled "Youth Concert," three young artist teams-chef and content creator "Gankwi," influencer "Noh Eunsol," and hip-hop group "Bloodline"-took the stage to share their stories and connect with the audience.
In the lobby and entrance exhibition area, eight teams of Changwon youth local creators operated exhibition and experience booths, showcasing the passion and ideas of young entrepreneurs and receiving enthusiastic responses.
Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, stated, "Young people are the driving force that moves the city and the main agents of hope and change. We will continue to work together with youth to create a vibrant Changwon."
Meanwhile, this year's Youth Week will begin with the Jinhae ceremony and continue with a youth culture and arts forum and busking performance (Jinhae area), a youth writer talk concert, Changwon Garosu-gil Youth Accompanying Festival, Youth Picnic (Changwon area), and a youth academy. The grand finale will be "Dandi Run Changwon" with the NC Dinos on September 27 in the Masan area.
