Shinhan Bank announced on the 21st that, starting from the 22nd, it will open a foreigner-exclusive "Digital Lounge Daebul Industrial Complex" at the Immigrant and Foreigner Comprehensive Support Center located in Yeongam County, South Jeolla Province.
The facility will be equipped with a digital desk and a smart kiosk. Visiting customers will be able to use the digital desk to access a video consultation service in 10 languages, including Vietnamese, and handle a variety of tasks such as opening new accounts, issuing check cards, and obtaining English deposit balance certificates. The lounge will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
Shinhan Bank also plans to use the digital lounge, located in an area with a high concentration of foreign workers, as a base for expanding connections with the local community by offering foreigner community networking, customized financial consultations, and financial education programs.
A Shinhan Bank representative stated, "With the opening of this digital lounge, we aim to significantly improve financial accessibility for nearby foreign worker customers and broaden the foundation for mutual growth with the local community. We will continue to enhance our financial services and convenience features for foreign customers in the future."
