Gwangyang City Finalizes Lineup for 5th K-POP Festival

To Be Held at Gwangyang Public Stadium on October 17-18
Day 1 and Day 2 Feature Distinct Lineups by Generation and Genre Preferences

Gwangyang City in South Jeolla Province announced that it has finalized the lineup for the 5th Gwangyang K-POP Festival, a global tourism event that is garnering even more attention worldwide thanks to the influence of "K-Pop Demon Hunters."

The 5th Gwangyang K-POP Festival, scheduled to take place over two days from October 17 to 18 at the Gwangyang Public Stadium and its surrounding area, will feature different lineups for each day, expanding the spectrum of genres to cater to various generations and preferences.

On the first day, top idol artists such as Kyungseo, Ahop, Woody, TripleS, and Heize will perform, while the second day will be divided into two parts: Part 1 will feature Urban Zakapa and Wendy, and Part 2 will showcase Jiwon and Park Gun, all renowned for their outstanding vocal abilities and passionate performances.

Admission tickets will be distributed in three phases. The first phase will begin at 9 a.m. on the 28th through local town and district offices. The second phase will start at 10 a.m. on the 29th via the "MY Gwangyang" mobile app, the city's integrated administrative platform. The final phase will involve on-site distribution on the day of the event.

The city plans to hold a briefing session with relevant organizations on the 22nd to share implementation plans for successful ticket distribution, safety, and quarantine management measures, and to discuss the overall operation of the event.

Lee Hyunju, head of the Tourism Division, stated, "The 5th Gwangyang K-POP Festival has confirmed a stellar lineup, ranging from the nation's top idol groups to ballad, dance, and trot artists who will showcase powerful performances and exceptional vocal talent. We are thoroughly preparing the Gwangyang K-POP Festival, which has established itself as a true global tourism festival enjoyed by citizens and sought after by tourists, to welcome visitors with a high level of hospitality and quality tourism infrastructure."

Meanwhile, the city is accepting applications for participants in the "National Youth Dance Competition," which will be held in celebration of the 5th Gwangyang K-POP Festival, until the 26th.
