Buyers from 33 Companies in 13 Countries Hold Consultations Worth 27 Million Dollars
A welcome dinner event for the "2025 Geumsan K-INSAM Export Consultation Meeting Overseas Buyers" was held at 6:00 p.m. on September 18 on the second floor of the support building at the Geumsan International Ginseng Distribution Center.
More than 100 people attended the event, including Park Beomin, Governor of Geumsan County; Kim Seokgon, Provincial Assemblyman; Kim Bokman, Provincial Assemblyman; Kim Giyun, Chairman of the Geumsan County Council; Jeong Okgyun, Vice Chairman; Son Gyewon, Director of Planning and Strategy at Geumsan County; Park Jiheung, Director of the Geumsan Ginseng and Herbal Medicine Industry Promotion Agency; Lee Jieun, CEO of Genie Global Buyer; Kwon Deuksang, President of the Geumsan County Food Business Association; Jo Hodeok, President of the Geumhong Association; and Jeong Youngseok, President of the Geumsan County Small Business Development Council.

Park Jiheung, Director of the Geumsan Ginseng and Herbal Medicine Industry Promotion Agency, reported during the export consultation meeting and progress report, "Buyers from 33 companies across 13 countries held export consultations with 27 ginseng product manufacturing companies from Geumsan County, resulting in consultations worth 27 million dollars."
In his welcome speech, Park Beomin, Governor of Geumsan County, said, "I sincerely welcome all the overseas buyers who have visited Geumsan, the capital of world ginseng, for the export consultation meeting, as well as all the distinguished guests who have graced the eve of the 43rd Geumsan World Ginseng Festival, together with the people of Korea."
He continued, "Geumsan's traditional ginseng agriculture was recognized for its excellence and tradition when it was listed as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 2018. Ginseng is a valuable cultural heritage of Korea that has steadfastly protected our lives and health. Now, I hope to share it with people all over the world, beyond Korea."
Governor Park added, "I hope that today's export consultation meeting will serve as an opportunity for buyers and participating companies to achieve many exchanges based on strong trust and excellent quality."
In her response, Lee Jieun, CEO of Genie Global Buyer, said, "Through today's export consultation meeting, I have learned more about the history and tradition of ginseng. I believe that not only myself but also buyers from around the world who attended today will now be able to confidently introduce Geumsan ginseng in their respective countries."
She emphasized, "Geumsan ginseng must now expand beyond the region to the world. I will do my utmost to ensure that it reaches more countries and consumers around the globe."

In particular, Park Beomin, Governor of Geumsan County, built friendships by warmly greeting each overseas buyer with a handshake and exchanging business cards.
