"Repeating the Mistakes of the Moon Jaein Administration," Criticism
"Must Break Free from YouTube Conspiracy Theories," Lee Says
Lee Junseok, leader of the Reform New Party, who has recently been posting satirical and critical messages about President Lee Jaemyung using AI-generated composite photos on social media, has now criticized, "They are trying to oust the Chief Justice with conspiracy theories." On the 18th, Lee posted a lengthy message on his social networking service (SNS), stating, "Recently, the Democratic Party has been trying to remove the head of the South Korean judiciary based not even on Chief Justice Cho Heedae himself, but on a recording between third parties. This is under the so-called 'Lee Jaemyung trial orchestration theory.'"

The accompanying photo shows a man resembling President Lee on a phone call. What particularly stands out is the monitor screen and the phrase on the wall next to the man. The monitor shows a figure presumed to be Chief Justice Cho Heedae, and a piece of paper on the wall reads, "He must be ousted." This appears to satirize the 2015 incident in which then-President Park Geunhye visited the MERS isolation ward at Seoul National University Hospital in Yeongeon-dong, Jongno-gu, and spoke with medical staff working inside the isolation room via closed-circuit television. At the time, the phrase "Must save" on the wall became a hot topic online.
Pointing out the ruling bloc's double standards, Lee said, "They strongly demanded a statement from Chief Justice Cho, but when he finally did so yesterday, they criticized him for being frivolous. The Democratic Party, which praised Chief Justice Cho during his confirmation hearing, is now criticizing him. The current response from the government and ruling party is essentially a 'say it if it's true, otherwise never mind' attitude." He continued, "The parallel world the ruling bloc is trying to construct is one where 'Chief Justice Cho Heedae was biased, therefore President Lee's past trials were unfair, and judicial rulings must be reviewed.' In this sweet alternative reality, all judicial risks disappear and past wrongs are recast as political oppression. But no matter how sweet, fiction remains fiction," he emphasized.

He went on to say, "The Moon Jaein administration believed that if they turned politics into a Colosseum-style gladiator arena, the public would be thrilled by the spectacle of blood, and that distributing disaster relief funds as bread at the right moment would earn their support. The result was a change of government after five years," adding, "The Lee Jaemyung administration is repeating the same pattern. They are trying to distract the public with a gladiator show based on an anonymous recording and make the judiciary a sacrifice in the Colosseum."
In conclusion, he said, "President Lee must also make a choice: Will he be remembered as a great leader who looks to the future, achieves KOSPI 5000, and succeeds in trade negotiations, or as a failed leader obsessed only with past judicial risks as he is now?" He added, "Immediately stop this attempt to oust the Chief Justice with conspiracy theories spread on YouTube."
