Integration with Job Competency Bank Accounts Available Starting in the First Half of 2026
The Korea Productivity Center (KPC) announced on September 18, 2025, that its nationally accredited certifications will be officially linked with the Job Competency Bank operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. Through this integration, individuals who obtain these certifications will be able to manage their job competencies more systematically and utilize them in various areas such as employment, promotion, and career development.
KPC has long operated a number of nationally accredited certifications, including the Information Technology Qualification (ITQ), Graphic Technology Qualification (GTQ), ERP Information Manager, Internet Ethics Qualification (IEQ), and Service Management Aptitude Test (SMAT), by connecting industry sites with job-based education. These certifications verify practical job competencies that can be immediately applied in the workplace, such as digital literacy, work software utilization, and organizational management skills, and are utilized across various sectors of society.
The Job Competency Bank of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea is a competency management system that integrates and manages various types of capability information, including certifications, education, training, and work experience. Through this integration, KPC certification holders will be able to link their qualification information to their Job Competency Bank account and receive a variety of services, such as the issuance of competency certificates and customized competency assessments. This integration is scheduled to be implemented starting in the first half of 2026.
A KPC representative stated, "KPC's nationally accredited certifications are designed based on the competencies essential for fieldwork, and this integration establishes a foundation for digitally verifying and utilizing these qualifications." The representative added, "We will continue to expand system integrations to enhance the reliability and social value of qualification information."
