Korea Railroad Corporation (hereinafter referred to as KORAIL) announced on the 17th that it will extend and change the reservation period for same-day Chuseok holiday train tickets from the original 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
However, the reservation period for the Honam, Jeolla, and Gangneung lines scheduled for the 18th will remain unchanged from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
A KORAIL official stated, "We sincerely apologize to the public for the inconvenience caused by the recent connection delays," adding, "KORAIL will thoroughly inspect and improve our systems to ensure that such issues do not recur in the future."
Meanwhile, KORAIL began accepting Chuseok holiday ticket reservations for the general public from 7:00 a.m. on the 17th. However, users were only shown messages such as 'Redirecting to the holiday reservation screen' and 'Failed to connect to the waiting system,' without being able to access the service normally, resulting in a flood of complaints.
