Han Ducksoo's Side: "No Meetings or Meals with Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae Before or After Yoon's Impeachment"

No Meetings or Meals Held Before or After Impeachment
Strong Denial of Allegations Raised by Lawmaker Boo Seungchan
Clarifies There Is No Personal Relationship

Former Prime Minister Han Ducksoo has denied meeting with Supreme Court Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae in connection with the period before and after the impeachment decision of former President Yoon Sukyeol. This refutes allegations that Han, Chief Justice Cho, and others met to discuss the public official election law trial involving President Lee Jaemyung, who was then the leader of the Democratic Party.

An associate of former Prime Minister Han told reporters on the 17th, "Former Prime Minister Han has never had any meetings or meals with Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae, regardless of whether it was before or after the Constitutional Court's impeachment decision on former President Yoon Sukyeol," adding, "He has no personal relationship with him whatsoever."

Previously, Democratic Party lawmaker Boo Seungchan mentioned a tip-off during a government questioning session at the National Assembly the previous day, claiming, "Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae, immediately after the Constitutional Court's decision to remove President Yoon Sukyeol from office, met with former Prime Minister Han and certain other individuals and made remarks suggesting that if the Lee Jaemyung case reached the Supreme Court, it would be handled accordingly." Boo stated, "If this is true, it would be an unprecedented case of the judiciary intervening in a presidential election."

In response, Prime Minister Kim Minseok said, "If this is true, it would be extremely shocking not only to me but also to the public, and it would seriously damage trust in the judiciary. Therefore, the truth must be clearly established."
