Pyeongchang County in Gangwon Province is accepting additional applications for the "Pyeongchang County LPG Supply Facility Support Project," which has been in effect since August 18.
This project aims to ensure safe gas supply and address energy inequality for residents in areas excluded from city gas supply and LPG pipeline support programs. The county will support the installation of 249kg small LPG storage tanks, providing up to 2.5 million won for general households and up to 3 million won for households receiving basic livelihood benefits.
The installation of small storage tanks is expected to reduce energy costs compared to other fuels such as kerosene or LPG cylinders, and replacing metal pipes will significantly enhance safety.
Pyeongchang County plans to recruit a total of 26 additional households from September 17 to 30, and aims to complete the project by the end of the year.
Jeon Hae-soon, head of the county's Economic Department, stated, "Through this support project, we can not only help residents reduce fuel costs but also provide greater safety and convenience in using LPG. We will continue to expand the project so that more residents can benefit, working to improve living conditions and realize energy welfare."
