This amount represents an increase of 330 won (2.9%) compared to this year's living wage of 11,400 won, and it is 1,410 won higher than the minimum wage for 2026, which is set at 10,320 won. When converted to a monthly salary (based on a standard 40-hour work week), it amounts to 2,451,570 won, which is 294,690 won more than the minimum wage.

The city made this decision after a comprehensive review by the Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council, taking into account factors such as the inflation rate, household expenditure levels, and the city's financial conditions.

The living wage for 2026 will be applied from January next year to approximately 600 temporary workers employed by the city, as well as those working at public enterprises and institutions funded or invested in by the city.
