In particular, Kim Jio (Waegwandongbu Elementary School) was the only elementary student to participate in the badminton competition and won the gold medal in the elementary and middle school division. Kim Gillyun (Seokjeok High School) delivered an outstanding performance by placing in both the 100m and 200m track events.

This event, organized by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education, aimed to provide a venue for students receiving special education from schools across the province to foster independence and social skills through sports. The participating students, who had trained consistently, approached the competition with confidence and, despite their nerves, gave their best efforts, offering hope and inspiration to many.

Gu Seoyoung, Superintendent of Education, stated, "This competition was a very meaningful event that allowed students with disabilities to demonstrate their potential and experience confidence and a sense of achievement. Moving forward, the Chilgok Office of Education will actively support students with disabilities by expanding opportunities for participation in sports and providing support across various fields so they can further develop their abilities."
