Targeting the Demand for Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae's Resignation
"This Is Not What the People Intended When They Granted the Majority"
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon criticized the ruling party's demand for Supreme Court Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae to resign, stating, "The arrogance of the administration has crossed the line."
On September 16, Mayor Oh posted an article titled "An Era of Arrogance and Barbarism" on Facebook, saying, "When they were the opposition, they recklessly pushed for impeachments without reason. Now, as the ruling party, they are trying to bring the judiciary to its knees," expressing his criticism.
Mayor Oh continued, "Do we need to rewrite the constitutional textbooks? This is not what the people intended when they granted an absolute majority."
He further stated, "Do not look only at your supporters; look at the people," adding, "History will record this as an era of barbarism under an arrogant administration."
