DS Danseok, a company specializing in resource circulation energy, announced on September 15 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Energy Engineering University (KENTECH) for technological cooperation on energy storage systems (ESS).
Through this agreement, the two parties will pursue joint research and personnel exchanges related to ESS. The goal is to secure competitiveness in future energy fields, including ESS. DS Danseok is working on business strategy development and research and development to commercialize ESS. The company expects that collaboration with KENTECH will accelerate the establishment of an ESS manufacturing base and the development of solutions.
In May, DS Danseok signed an MOU with KENTECH focused on joint research related to next-generation nuclear power, specifically SMR and MMR (small and micro modular reactors). With the signing of the ESS MOU, the company anticipates that both organizations will continue to strengthen their close cooperation.
A representative from DS Danseok stated, "By expanding cooperation with KENTECH in the ESS sector, we will continue to enhance information and technology exchanges," adding, "We expect to accelerate the implementation of our ESS commercialization strategy."
