On the morning of the same day at 9:30 a.m., Seongnam Mayor Shin Sangjin received the eight-member delegation, including Wroclaw Mayor Jacek Sutryk, in the first conference room on the fourth floor of City Hall.
The two cities discussed expanding exchanges in the advanced industry sector, establishing a cooperation network between companies, and supporting startups.
To promote these initiatives, an economic cooperation agreement ceremony was held between Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency (President Lee Euijoon), Seongnam’s economic affairs agency, and Wroclaw Metropolitan Development Agency (President Magdalena Okulowska).
Mayor Shin Sangjin of Seongnam stated, "I believe that the resources both cities possess in the information and communications technology (IT) sector will create synergy, leading to increased investment attraction and more active, substantive exchanges between companies."
Mayor Jacek Sutryk of Wroclaw responded, "It is meaningful to strengthen our ties with Seongnam," adding, "This agreement will serve as an opportunity to create new prospects for innovation and sustainable growth."
Following the agreement, the Wroclaw delegation toured innovative IT companies in the region such as HD Hyundai and LIG Nex1, visited the Seongnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and met with business leaders to discuss economic cooperation strategies.

Wroclaw signed a friendship exchange agreement with Seongnam on November 7 of last year. The city covers a total area of 292 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 700,000. Since LG Electronics established a home appliance manufacturing plant in Wroclaw in 2006, affiliates and partners such as LG Display, LG Innotek, and LG Energy Solution have set up operations there, forming what is known as "LG Town." Around 4,000 Koreans currently reside in Wroclaw.
