Kim Misu and Yoo Jihyun Secure Second Gold of the Season... Lee Subin Takes Bronze
Strong Prospects for Top Finishes at the National Sports Festival Next Month

The Jangseong County Office rowing team has significantly elevated the status of Jeonnam rowing by winning one gold and one bronze medal at a national competition.
According to the Jeonnam Sports Council and the Jeonnam Rowing Association on September 15, the Jangseong County Office rowing team achieved notable results at the 22nd K-Water President's Cup National Water Love Rowing Competition, which concluded on September 14 at the Chungju Tangeumho International Rowing Center in North Chungcheong Province. Kim Misu and Yoo Jihyun won the gold medal in the lightweight double sculls in the women’s university and general division, while Lee Subin secured the bronze medal in the single sculls.
In particular, Kim Misu and Yoo Jihyun demonstrated their dominance by becoming double champions this season, following their victory at the 51st Jangbogo National Rowing Competition in June.
In the finals, Kim Misu and Yoo Jihyun claimed the gold medal with a time of 7:41.48, finishing well ahead of Jeon Yeonju and Lee Heeju from Chungju City Hall (7:48.37), and Choi Seohyun and Choi Sujin from Busan Port Authority (7:50.87).
Lee Subin also delivered a strong performance.
In the women’s university and general division single sculls final, Lee Subin finished third with a time of 8:11.40, following Jung Hyejeong from Yesan County Office (8:00.87) and Kim Jeongmin from Gwangju Rowing Association (8:06.53), earning the bronze medal.
Most notably, the achievements of these three athletes are particularly encouraging as they came in a pre-rehearsal event for the 106th National Sports Festival (scheduled for October 17-23 in Busan), raising expectations for top finishes in the upcoming festival.
Song Jin-ho, President of the Jeonnam Sports Council, stated, "Winning these medals proves the strength and potential of Jeonnam rowing," adding, "We will continue to provide full support to achieve excellent results at the upcoming National Sports Festival."
Shin Jae-kyung, President of the Jeonnam Rowing Association, emphasized, "The continued success of Jeonnam rowing is thanks to the athletes’ hard work and dedication," and added, "We will thoroughly prepare in the remaining period to secure top results at the National Sports Festival."
