A threatening email claiming that explosives had been planted at an elementary school in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, led to the evacuation of students.
The Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced on September 15 that it had received reports from four schools in the district and initiated a search.
The email reportedly stated that the explosives would detonate at approximately 3:34 p.m. on the same day.
The sender claimed to be a Japanese lawyer.
A police official stated, "We launched a search after receiving the report, but nothing unusual has been found so far."
