The Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation announced that Chairman Kim Junggak attended the opening ceremony of the new building at Banseok School, located in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, on September 15, 2025.

Banseok School is an alternative educational institution established in 2006 for North Korean defector youth and the children of North Korean defectors.
The Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation supported the installation of the "Hope Dream Smart Library" in the newly relocated Banseok School building. The foundation also sponsored the creation of various educational spaces, including a book cafe, computer lab, and classrooms, to provide Banseok School students with a safe and comfortable learning environment.
The Hope Dream Smart Library is an educational environment improvement project by the Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation, which installs and supports libraries in alternative educational institutions for North Korean defectors. Following the installation at Hankkum School in July this year, the project is being expanded to other educational institutions for North Korean defectors, including Banseok School.
Chairman Kim Junggak stated, "I sincerely congratulate Banseok School on making a vigorous new start in its new home," and added, "I hope the Hope Dream Smart Library will become a place of opportunity where Banseok School students can realize their talents and potential."
The Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation is a nonprofit public interest corporation established in November 2013 with funding from Korea Securities Finance. The foundation has continued to engage in social contribution activities in various fields, including social welfare and scholarship programs.
The foundation's flagship "Hope Dream" program supports North Korean defectors and young adults preparing for independence so they can achieve social and economic self-reliance as key members of society. The foundation plans to continue providing practical support not only in education but also in housing, employment and entrepreneurship, healthcare, and participation in culture and the arts.
