Charlie Kirk Visited South Korea Days Before His Death... Expressed 'Admiration' While Walking the Streets of Seoul

Trump Responds to Assassin's Arrest:
"Hopes He Receives the Death Penalty"

It has been revealed that Charlie Kirk, a close confidant of U.S. President Donald Trump, visited South Korea just days before he was killed. Kirk reportedly stated, "South Korea is a society with a high level of trust because there are no immigrants."

According to Yonhap News on September 14, citing the Washington Post (WP), Kirk visited South Korea and Japan just days before he was shot and killed on September 10. During his visits to South Korea and Japan, he met with right-wing political groups and is said to have praised South Korea in remarks made on a podcast.

In particular, on a podcast broadcast on September 8, he expressed admiration for the cleanliness and order he experienced while walking the streets of Seoul. He said, "No one asks for money, and graffiti (the culture of scribbling on city walls and floors) is not tolerated."

He also commented, "South Korea is a society with a high level of trust," and added, "A massive influx of foreigners does not erode the structure of trust." He went on to say that this social background is why his anti-immigration message resonates in South Korea and Japan, adding, "This is a global phenomenon."

Charlie Kirk, a conservative political activist in his 30s, was shot and killed while giving a speech on a university campus in Utah on September 10.

Kirk was not originally well-known outside the United States. However, as right-wing populists have gained prominence globally and President Trump returned to office earlier this year, Kirk's influence has grown, and he has become increasingly active on the international stage.

In May, he visited the United Kingdom and met with political leaders and students. In a speech at the Oxford Union, Oxford University's debate society, he said, "The same atmosphere that led to Trump's rise can be seen in the UK," and added, "If the conditions are right, we will soon witness a political revolution."

Charlie Kirk also attended President Donald Trump's inauguration in January of this year.

Meanwhile, Tyler Robinson, 22, who is accused of assassinating Kirk, was arrested by FBI agents at his home on the morning of September 12. Robinson's uncle reportedly saw the wanted photo, suspected it was Robinson, and showed the photo to Robinson's father.

Robinson's father then persuaded him to turn himself in. Afterward, Robinson's father informed an acquaintance of what had happened, and this acquaintance reported to the authorities that "Robinson had either hinted at or confessed to the crime."
