Starting from September 15, Gyeonggi Province will launch the "Gyeonggi Culture Pass," which provides discount coupons worth up to 25,000 won.
According to Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization on September 14, from 9 a.m. on this day, users can download the "Gyeonggi Culture Pass" app from the store, sign up as a member, and then apply for the cultural consumption coupon after verifying their subscription to either "The Gyeonggi Pass" or "Climate Action Opportunity Income" and confirming their Gyeonggi resident status.
Without a subscription to either "The Gyeonggi Pass" or "Climate Action Opportunity Income," the Culture Pass cannot be used.
Applications for the cultural consumption coupon will be accepted every week from 9 a.m. on Monday to midnight (24:00) on Sunday, from September 15 to November 23. The winners will be announced the following Monday.
Winners are selected based on the population ratio of each city and county, with the number of coupons allocated according to the proportion of the total population of Gyeonggi Province.
To increase the chances of winning, it is advantageous to earn Culture Miles by recommending friends and participating in Culture Comments (activities sharing opinions on cultural content) each week through the Culture Pass app.
The remaining quantity will be flexibly adjusted in consideration of the operational status and coupon usage by city and county.
The coupons received can be registered and used through the affiliated partner page within the Gyeonggi Culture Pass app at CGV (movies), Ticketlink (performances, exhibitions, sports), and Yanolja (accommodation, activities), among others.
The coupon amounts by category are 5,000 won for movies, performances, exhibitions, sports, and activities, and 10,000 won for accommodation. Each person can receive up to 25,000 won per year. The coupons are valid until November 30 of this year.
Gyeonggi Province operates a customer center (1877-0311, option 2) to guide residents who are not familiar with using the Gyeonggi Culture Pass app.
Park Laehyuk, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The Gyeonggi Culture Pass will not only support residents' cultural activities but also serve as an important opportunity to invigorate the cultural and tourism industries and the local economy. We will continue to expand the program so that more residents can enjoy the pleasures of culture."
