Worker in His 60s Dies in Trapping Accident at Uiryeong Steel Manufacturing Plant

A worker in his 60s died after being trapped between steel structures while on the job at a steel manufacturing plant in Uiryeong County, South Gyeongsang Province.

According to the Uiryeong Police Station on September 13, at approximately 11:53 a.m. that day, Mr. A, a man in his 60s, became trapped between rails while moving an H-shaped steel column (H-beam) using rails at a steel manufacturing plant in the Guryong Industrial Complex, Uiryeong-eup, Uiryeong County.

Mr. A was rushed to the hospital by 119 paramedics who responded to a report from a coworker, but he died during treatment.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on statements from coworkers and other evidence.
