"Hotels are now evolving beyond simple accommodations into complex spaces where guests can recharge both body and mind and maintain their daily routines, even during business trips or vacations," said Yeo Inchang, CEO of Parnas Hotel.
Located in the heart of Gangnam, Seoul, the InterContinental Seoul COEX has been reborn as the Westin Seoul Parnas, designed for the perfect hotel staycation. By combining the expertise of Parnas Hotel, which has operated five-star hotels, with the wellness philosophy of Marriott International's Westin brand, the hotel has created a space that appeals to both business travelers and guests seeking urban relaxation. Facilities such as the fitness center and swimming pool have been upgraded and are now offered as premium membership products.

The Westin Seoul Parnas, with a total of 564 guest rooms, offers a relaxed atmosphere. Upon entering the hotel lobby, the first thing that catches the eye is the lounge & bar 'The Log.' The petal-shaped lighting fixtures placed throughout and the interior inspired by the curves of traditional Korean houses come together to create the feeling of an urban courtyard. During the day, natural light provides warmth, while at night, subtle table lighting maximizes privacy. The hotel’s interior was designed by the global design group CCD (Cheng Chung Design), capturing the essence of Seoul as a city where nature and urban life coexist. Staff uniforms were created in collaboration with designer Kim Minju, who leads the fashion brand Minjukim.
The most notable feature is the hotel's facilities. Especially prominent is the 'Westin Club' on the 30th floor, the hotel's top floor, which is a private space available only to guests staying in one of the 144 club rooms or in a suite. Covering 702 square meters (about 212 pyeong), it is one of the largest club lounges in Korea. Upon entering, guests can enjoy a panoramic view of Seoul's skyline, stretching from the Han River to Seonjeongneung, through floor-to-ceiling glass windows that follow the curved design of the space. The lounge is divided into three sections, including dining tables, a library, and a bar area, each designed to offer different urban views. In addition, there is a banquet hall for small gatherings, which can be used by reservation.

Another highlight is the 'dining service,' which is organized by time of day. Guests of the Westin Club are offered five dining experiences from morning to evening. Breakfast features healthy, seasonal ingredients, while lunchtime offers light snacks with fruit and coffee. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., 'Sweet Delight' serves Korean-inspired desserts, and in the evening, a buffet menu including premium grilled dishes such as steak and lamb, along with an 'Evening Cocktail' service, is available. Finally, guests can enjoy 'Westin Night,' featuring wine, whiskey, and cocktails.
The two-story 'Fitness Club' is another facility worth noting. Accessible only to club members and hotel guests, it allows guests to work out while enjoying views of Seoul. Other amenities include an indoor swimming pool overlooking Bongeunsa Temple, the 'Prime Motion Center' equipped with hydraulic fitness machines, nutrition consulting, body recovery programs, personalized training by experts, and a private golf practice range with an AR putting zone. For international guests, a 'Night Gym' is available from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
All guest rooms are designed according to a wellness concept. For optimal sleep, every room is furnished with the Westin signature 'Heavenly Bed,' a bedding collection co-developed with Simmons to provide ideal support and comfort. To promote restful sleep, every room is equipped with an aromatherapy balm containing lavender. Suite rooms are furnished with a Dyson hair dryer, a Balmuda air purifier, and amenities from the French perfume brand Diptyque. The hotel's most luxurious room, the single Presidential Suite, is priced at approximately 30 million won per night and measures 249 square meters (about 75 pyeong). Some rooms feature a private fitness room, and the corner suite rooms are designed to offer panoramic views of Seoul.
Parnas Hotel has maximized the wellness experience by introducing the DCX (Digital Customer Experience) operating model for the first time among domestic hotels. After check-in, guests receive a QR code granting access to the exclusive mobile platform 'Smart Butler.' Through the app, guests can control room temperature and lighting, reserve wellness programs such as yoga, and receive information about restaurants and hotel facilities. Notably, the hotel is the first in Korea to provide real-time congestion information, allowing guests to avoid queues at the breakfast buffet or swimming pool. CEO Yeo emphasized, "We are continuously strengthening our digital capabilities to enhance overall operational efficiency."
