A Variety of Events at Yangju Nari Farm from September 26 to 28
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 12th that it will hold the 7th Yangju Ten Million Celosia Festival at Yangju Nari Farm from September 26 to 28.
The festival, under the slogan "A Seven-Colored Story Lasting for a Thousand Days," will feature a variety of programs, offering seven different attractions for visitors to enjoy.
A Spectacular Festival Created Together with Citizens
The festival will kick off with a vibrant "Flower Citizen Parade." Residents from the 12 towns and districts of Yangju City will showcase their individuality with flower-themed costumes and performances. Additionally, a "Flower Fashion Show" featuring citizen models will be held, presenting three themes on stage: "The Color of Celosia," "Flowers and Nature," and "The Flowers of the Future."
A Festival Filled with Music and Flowers
The flower fields, filled with celosia and more than 20 other types of autumn flowers, will be alive with music. The finals of the 2nd National Busking Championship and daily performances by talented buskers from across the country will take place throughout the festival. There will also be celebratory performances by singers Ali, Rolling Quartz, Homies, and Domino Boys, as well as the "Celosia Healing Concert" featuring Yoon Junhyeop, Kim Junsu, Byul Sarang, Seongri, and E8ight.
A Family Experience Festival for All Ages
To ensure everyone can enjoy the event, the main stage will host family-friendly programs such as the "Celosia Quiz Contest" and "Family Movie Screening." There will also be various hands-on, play, and educational programs for parents and children to participate in together.
A Youthful Festival Capturing Public Attention
Yangju City recently drew widespread attention by releasing a re-edited parody video by YouTuber "Psick Univ" on the city's official YouTube channel. As a result, interest in Nari Farm and the Celosia Festival has been increasing, establishing the festival as a trendsetting event for young people.
A Festival Promoting Mutual Growth with the Local Economy
In line with the opening of Nari Farm, Yangju City is promoting the "Nari Coupon Program" to boost local consumption and revitalize the local economy. While the farm was previously open for free during the festival, from this year, admission will be charged. However, tickets will be provided as coupons that can be used like local currency at paid booths within the festival grounds and at designated businesses in the city, including for food and beverages.
A Festival Easily Accessible from Anywhere in the Seoul Metropolitan Area
Yangju Nari Farm is conveniently located, allowing visitors to arrive from anywhere in the Seoul metropolitan area within about an hour. The city plans to expand convenience facilities to meet the diverse needs of visitors, such as weekend flower field outings and performance viewing.
A Festival Practicing ESG Values
The festival is designed as an eco-friendly event to promote sustainability and social responsibility. Efforts include minimizing waste, using reusable containers at food booths, operating eco-friendly concept experience and promotional programs, and expanding facilities to accommodate socially disadvantaged groups, systematically addressing environmental, social, and operational aspects.
A Yangju City official stated, "The Yangju Ten Million Celosia Festival is a signature event in northern Gyeonggi Province, combining quality and fun," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that both citizens and tourists are fully satisfied and enjoy the festival."
Meanwhile, the 7th Yangju Ten Million Celosia Festival has been selected as a 2025 Gyeonggi Signature Tourism Festival, and detailed information can be found on the festival's official website.
