The Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association) announced that applications for the 7th 'Venture Investment Analyst' certification exam will be accepted from September 15 to September 26. Applications for the 7th 'Venture Investment Analyst' Certification Exam Open on a First-Come, First-Served Basis from the 15th

The Venture Investment Analyst certification is the first and only private professional qualification in Korea that verifies the competencies required for venture investment screening and practical work. Since its introduction in 2023, a total of six exams have produced 1,347 successful candidates.

Notably, starting from the 6th exam held in July, eligibility to take the test was expanded from employees of VC Association member companies to the general public. The 6th exam saw its 500-person registration quota filled within just three days, reflecting high public interest and demand for venture investment.

Now, any student, aspiring entrepreneur, or office worker interested in venture investment can take the Venture Investment Analyst exam, which is expected to broaden the foundation of the venture investment ecosystem and serve as an institutional basis for producing a large pool of professionals with expertise and credibility.

The exam does not simply assess theoretical knowledge but comprehensively evaluates the core competencies required in actual venture investment settings. The test covers three areas: understanding VC investment, VC investment methodologies, and understanding VC exit strategies. Candidates are assessed on their ability to analyze companies and support investment decision-making, evaluate post-investment growth potential, and develop exit strategies.

The VC Association is actively promoting information about the exam in collaboration with relevant organizations, financial institutions such as banks and securities firms, and academic institutions including universities. Jung Jiyeong, Deputy Director of the VC Research Institute, stated, "The Venture Investment Analyst certification will serve as an opportunity to elevate Korea's venture investment professional system," adding, "We will continue our efforts to institutionalize expertise and credibility across the entire venture ecosystem and strengthen the competitiveness of the VC industry."

Detailed information regarding application and registration can be found on the VC Association's certification exam center website.
