The city divided the education participants according to the roles and responsibilities of superiors and subordinates, as well as the differences in field situations faced at each grade level. In line with this, education for officials at grade 6 and above was conducted first in May, and this follow-up education for officials at grade 7 and below was held in September.
This session was led by Lee Yunmi, a professional instructor from the Integrity Training Institute under the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. The lecture focused on various real-life cases that may occur in the field and covered key anti-corruption laws such as the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, and the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act for Public Officials. These laws were explained through case studies and quizzes to make them easy to understand, with an emphasis on raising employees' awareness of integrity and establishing the right values.
In particular, the session provided concrete guidance on making the right decisions and responding appropriately in actual conflict-of-interest situations, enabling immediate application in daily work settings.
One employee who participated in the training shared, "It was much easier to understand because we learned through case studies and quizzes rather than just theoretical explanations," adding, "I was once again reminded of the responsibility to practice integrity principles in both work and daily life."
Hanam City has been promoting various integrity initiatives, including Integrity and Communication Day, Integrity Concerts, and internal integrity content competitions. Going forward, the city plans to foster a trusted public service culture through customized education and programs that all employees can relate to.
