Park Sangjin, Former Compliance Officer, Nominated as Chairman of Korea Development Bank (Update)

Park Sangjin, former Compliance Officer of Korea Development Bank, has been nominated as the new chairman of Korea Development Bank.


On September 9, the Financial Services Commission announced that Chairman Kim Byunghwan had recommended the appointment of Park, the former Compliance Officer, as the new chairman of Korea Development Bank.


Park, the nominee, has worked at Korea Development Bank for about 30 years, serving in key roles such as the task forces for Kia Group, Daewoo Heavy Industries, and Daewoo Motor, as well as Head of the Legal Affairs Office and Compliance Officer. He is recognized as a policy finance expert with extensive knowledge in corporate restructuring and financial law.


The Financial Services Commission evaluated Park as the right person to successfully lead Korea Development Bank’s policy finance work, including support for advanced strategic industries, in line with financial policies aimed at genuine growth and a major shift toward productive finance.
