The Department of Social Welfare at Daegu Cyber University (President Lee Geunyong) held a "Visiting Opening Ceremony" for the start of the 2025 fall semester on September 1 and 2 at the Wonju Women's Development Workforce Center in Wonju, Gangwon Province, and the Gaon Social Cooperative in Dong-gu, Daegu.

This event was organized primarily for current students and prospective applicants to encourage new and transfer students in their studies and to strengthen networking among enrolled students.
Kim Hanyang, Director of Planning and Admissions, along with faculty members and staff from the Department of Social Welfare, attended the event. They held a Q&A session covering various aspects of university life for new, transfer, and current students, and shared useful information such as academic guidance.
In particular, a variety of programs were provided to offer practical support, including the establishment of a university life roadmap and customized learning consulting.
A new student who participated in the event expressed, "I am delighted to have been admitted to the Department of Social Welfare, and I will work diligently with the goal of obtaining social worker and lifelong educator certifications."
Kim Hanyang, Director of Planning and Admissions, stated, "We will spare no effort at the university level to support students so they can pursue their dreams in society with clear goals," and added, "We will actively encourage the dreams and growth of our students."
The Department of Social Welfare at Daegu Cyber University plans to continue operating a variety of programs that provide practical support for students in the future.
