Creating Beautiful Alleys Through the Jungdo and Haok Urban Regeneration Project
Geumsan County has enhanced the alleyway landscape by incorporating various concepts, such as exhibiting photographs that utilize stories related to ginseng, which boasts a long-standing history in the region.
As part of the Jungdo and Haok urban regeneration projects, Geumsan County has embarked on creating beautiful alleys across seven sections of Geumsaneup Geonsamjeon-gil.
This project involved refurbishing exterior walls with a unified color scheme, and visitors can find detailed information and the exact location of each alley section through story guideboards.
In addition, visitors can enjoy a unique experience through a hidden picture activity, searching for 23 small murals concealed throughout the alleys.
Park Beomin, Mayor of Geumsan County, stated, "We hope that the alleys created through this project will develop into local tourism programs," adding, "We will continue to promote urban regeneration projects that residents can directly benefit from."
